how i met woolworth

It was the first day of orientation and our big step into our university life. I remember there not being any seats left at your table so I had made the decision to sit alone. Although that was until I saw a table with two people quietly sat at, and decided to rack up the courage to go and sit with them. On that table, was a boy in a striped shirt. At first, I was nervous to say hi, but when I racked up the courage for introductions, he had said his name. (Granted I forgot not even 10 seconds later). As that little meeting went by, I remember getting up to meet with you again and was shocked to see me and him were heading towards the same person - you. It was shocking but also comforting when I realised you already knew the people I had just been briefly introduced too. From there, as a group we left to go venture about and quickly a new friendship begun.

I believe you definitely helped link us together, as if it wasn’t for you, I probably would have been too shy and awkward to ask others to join us afterwards. This allowed for me and him to introduce ourselves further than the brief discussions outside of a tense and awkward introductory classroom. And yes, you’re definitely still a strong part in our friendship.

It’s nice to have such a fun, lively and open minded friend who isn’t afraid to be true to themselves and others. It’s also always interesting to see the way he easily creates art and how his mind works around that and everything else his mind seems to know all the random facts too, while I’m there Iike HUH, wowee.
